Our group learned about the battle of Britain, I notice that in the newspaper, positive advertisements were either fake or food advertisements. Also, other parts of the newspaper included fun quizzes and happy sections for children. This newspaper used positive propaghanda

Everything Stops For Tea, a song written in 1972, is written to make people cheerful in the time of war. As Tea is very hard to get during war, the song uses multiple reasons of why when given the pleasure of having tea, there is no way to act miserable. The song uses positive propaganda to make people feel like war is not happening even though it is. Soldiers would benefit from this song in the time of war because it has a very cheerful and up beat tune, and is focused on making people think of the brightest side of life and not the horrors of war.

In the Fall Of Singapore  video, our team acknowledged that we were learning mainly about what happened in Singapore over the 20th century. Some scenes mentioned include:

World War II: In 1942, World War ll took over Singapore, dropping bombs all over Singapore, hiding them and setting them off in certain places. The War had expanded around half the world. It spread in China, Philippines, etc. When the French gave up to the war, the Japanese rejoiced and had stopped the War. This video contained a lot of interviews with old people who had been in the war before. This video wanted to tell the people that were watching this video that the war was really dangerous and the people who were in it but survived and interviews with them. This is the video that talked about world war ll and how people had survived or died in it.

When the British underestimated the Japanese, they were attacked brutally. This shows that the Japanese is different in the inside of their country then the outside fighting. The documentary is set in a timeline.  

This is mostly about how the Japanese attacked Singapore and how the French gave up with the fight. We think that the French gave up the fight for peace. Also probably because a lot of people are dying including families that doesn’t have anything to do with the war. We wonder if the Japanese or the British will still attack the French even though they gave up.

In the book Sybil's Night Ride, set in the late 1700's, included a change of gender roles and age respect. This book told the story of a young girl, her family lived near Putnam County in New York. Her name was Sybil, Sybil's family was in favor of the Patriots.

USSR= Soviet Union
USSR, which is also known as Russia, has the largest total of deaths in WWII. The number of deaths are 27 million total which makes me wonder that USSR had a very weak army or this happened because of the Nazi's shooting citizens and taking their clothes away for them to freeze to death.
