Finding Parallelism Across Stories

     Wonder by R.J. Palacio clearly demonstrates that a friend is not someone who is popular, it is someone who is loyal to any individual no matter their beliefs/looks.  In the beginning of this fabulous book, a great friend of Auggie's named Summer, ignored the popular group who weren't nice to her, and joined Auggie in the dining room to realize how humorous and kind he was.  Clearly Summer shows empathy for Auggie and is very thoughtful, and her actions are enforced on her empathy for Auggie.
