Warren Buffet
Warren Buffet's contribution to the Giving Pledge foundation is very kind and is largely respected. Buffet is obviously very smart and knows that giving money to charity is better than giving it to people who don't need it that badly.

Literacy Essay
Harriet's Literacy Essay - RLA CD
Let’s face it, sometimes in life people have to accept change, and adjust to fit into new situations, even if they don’t want to. Change is hard, and many people don’t like it. Adjusting to challenges puts people into positions they aren’t comfortable with. This is particularly important for children like Aaron in the book, Touch Blue by Cynthia Lord.
In the book, Aaron, a 13 year old foster boy, was separated from his mom because she was an alcoholic. What Aaron really wants is to have his mom back and a real family. But, Natalie, his careworker, does not allow him to have any contact with his mother. Aaron has not seen his mother in several years, and misses her frequently. So by the time Aaron gets to Bethsaida Island, the place where his new foster family reside, he really shows no effort to try and adjust to the new situation, and has no tolerance for people trying to tease and bully him. Hence, in cases where Aaron controls his anger while present in a situation, he always lets out his anger afterwards by playing his trumpet.
Aaron has to learn to overcome his fears and step up and become more confident. Arriving at Bethsaida, Aaron was missing his former foster home, and was really annoyed that he had to say goodbye to so many activities and people to move in with his new ‘family’. He is very rude and does not want to be included in anything at the island. Aaron exclaims, “I can’t believe I had to quit my jazz band to come here.” (Pg. 30) This shows that Aaron wasn’t adjusting well to the new situation. He did not know how to control his emotions, was afraid of going on boats, and performing in front of crowds. With time, Aaron started to change by being more social and learning to fight his fears. Tess helps Aaron to get his mom to come, even though it is against the rules, after meeting with her, he notes, “I didn’t mean to get so mad at my mom yesterday,” Aaron says quietly as we walk. “I thought I would only feel happy to see her and glad she was okay. But when I started talking, it all came out.”
To sum up, change is an important part of life that has to be accepted whether it’s wanted or not. This is important because if people do not accept change, they may be left out, and be constantly unhappy. The events that happen in this book are similar to events that happen in real life, and all people must accept that nothing will ever go perfectly as planned.

Drama: The Very Mixed Up Fairy Tale Reflction
I think that my projection has improved a lot this trimester. One thing I think I could improve on is facing the audience because sometimes I look at the person I am speaking to instead of the audience. I feel that I did well using my face and voice to bring my character to life. To conclude, I definitely think my confidence on stage has improved this trimester and I have improved my drama skills.
