5,4,3,2,1 +8 Per Day
5 Fruits and Vegetables - Contributes to a healthy heart and prevents some potential cancers. I think I am doing okay because I usually have capsicum, onion, lettuce, potato, sweet potato, avocado, and hummus every day. However, I do not like all fruits, so I usually put them in a blender and make a smoothie or juice. I like watermelon, peach, nectarine, apple, strawberry, and banana.
4 Glasses of Water - No cell can function without water. If you wait till you're thirsty, you are too late. I feel that I need to drink more water, so this morning I decided to bring a water bottle to school to ensure that I drink more water. I usually drink less that a liter of water per day even though I play sports, this is why I am trying to improve my drinking water habits.
3 Laughs with Friends - This is vital to keep a good mental health. It prevents depression and bad thoughts, feelings, and interactions. These three things are all connected like a triangle, and if one is effected, the others are too. I think that I have started doing this more, and I would like to keep it going because I have noticed that it actually is true. For example, watching a funny video with friends, or having some fun at lunch interacting instead of being by yourself texting one of your friends.
2 Hours of Screen Time - I think that I do well in this category because I only spend about one hour per day on my phone and computer. I only watch TV and movies sometimes, maybe once every two weeks.
At Least 1 Hour of Physical Activity - I play tennis four hours a week, dance two hours a week, I walk my dogs every day, and I have PE every two days, I think that I do well in this category. My parents want my brother and I to exercise as much as we can, so we participate in many sports.
8 Hours of Sleep - I sleep about 9 1/2 hours per night, so I think that I sleep enough, but I always find it hard to wake up at 6am because it is so early. My mom makes me go to bed at about 8:30 every night, but sometimes I am a little bit off schedule so I make up for it by sleeping in the amount of time that I went to bed too late. This does make me hurry a bit in the mornings, but it makes me more energized.

Parent/Student Agreements
I am an organised, responsible individual who has been taught to be accountable for my decisions and actions and therefore, I believe I am ready for the responsibility of bringing my laptop to and from school on a daily basis. At night, I will charge my laptop in my room at the same time that I get my bag ready for school each night before I go to bed. My computer will be charged at my desk in my room.

Definition Of Wellness
During PE health class today we discussed the meaning of wellness. From my point of view, the meaning of wellness is taking the responsibility to keep your body healthy. This could be eating healthy food, getting at least eight hours of sleep a night, or socializing to keep happy. My example below is of socializing and having a good time with my friends because it helps individuals get through hard times in life.

My Reading Goal
My reading goal for this semester is to read for 45 minutes per day, show more thinking, and display more reading skills in my responses. So far, I have not done very well, so I am making it my aim to do my goals before dinner every day. I chose this goal because I feel that I do not read enough, and that over the summer I think that my reading skills dropped so I would like to bring them up again. Some challenges I may face with my reading goals are fitting the time into my schedule to do it, so I have decided that if I think I may have some problems with reading after school, I will do it on the bus. I will know I have accomplished my goal when I start getting better feedback, and grades on my reading responses, and I will aim to read two books per week. If I face difficulties in accomplishing my goals, I may cut them down so I only have one reading goal. When I have accomplished my goal I will celebrate my going out with my friends to eat ice cream.
